Our Story

Nick LeGrand earned his doctorate in physical therapy at Thomas Jefferson University. He has practiced as a licensed physical therapist for the past ten years locally and as remote as Anchorage Alaska. Nick has worked in all settings including hospital, acute rehab, and home care. It was his time in home physical therapy that inspired the creation of the Bed Ledge.

After witnessing countless patients being forced to choose between risking their safety with subpar products or sacrificing their independence through reliance on caregivers and expensive aide services, Nick became focused on finding a better solution to bed mobility. Existing products on the market were either too expensive, unsafe, or too difficult to use for the majority of patients. From this frustration and hours of late-night experimentation, the Bed Ledge was born.

Today Bed Ledge is the product of choice for individuals and medical practitioners nationwide. Nick lives in Delaware with his two boys, two dogs, and a senior tabby cat named George.
